1. Pistol Warmup Description:

 To maintain perishable skills shoot this target first, firing the first 5 rounds through the hostage takers head. Then, follow the suggested shooting drills and finish up by firing the last 5 rounds into the hostage taker (again). This target is intended to build fundamental skill as well as build the confidence to take a real hostage shot. 2. Moving Sight Picture Description:

This is an HVT Cognitive target intended teach thinking while shooting and other advanced concepts, such as, maintaining a sight picture while moving the muzzle and pressing the trigger at the same time. We found this to be a versatile target works well for a variety of shooting drills, especially magazine change drills. 3. Courses of Action (COA) Description:

 This is an HVT Cognitive target, how do you learn to think your way through a gunfight? This target is a good start and forces the shooter to exercise decision making and critical thinking skills during the shooting drill. Situational awareness and critical thinking skills are known to diminish when endorphins like epinephrine enter the blood stream. 4. QUADS Description:

  QUADS is the new version of our best selling target, FOUR. This target is great for all handgun, rifle and precision rifle training. Each of the four targets is 8 inches wide X 12 inches high. The center "A Zone" aiming point is 4 inches wide X 6 inches high.  There are 8 1 inch aiming points ideal for red-dots and magnified optics. There is essentially a big X in the middle of target for firing those first rounds through a rifle that has never been sighted in and to get on paper. 5. Transition Description:

Targets are training aides and this training aide is specifically designed for training transitions from rifle to pistol.  Transitions from rifle to pistol are performed when actively engaged in a gunfight at close distances and when cover is not available. Many SOF trainers recommend performing a transition when the distance to threat is within 25 yards, or 75 feet; situation and circumstances dictating. 


All targets Feature:

  • All of our targets are as close as possible to accepted standard sniper dimensions which are 6-8 inches across the head and 18-21 inches across the chest. With the assumed dimensions snipers may use mils to determine distance to target. We think these dimensions are important in the shoot house and on the standard range, as well.
  • Shading reduces glare outdoors, enhances contrast & depth, and night vision device compatible.
  • Super thick paper allows close training within 6 feet, resists weather and show’s shot groups better; Also, ideally suited for Airsoft, UTM, and Simunition training.
  • Size - 21 X 33 inches long, suitable for the Shoot House and most outdoor target stands.

We found this to be a versatile target works well for a variety of shooting drills, especially magazine change drills. Beginner and novice shooters will find 15 different aiming points to practice fundamental skills.

3. COA Description:

 How do you learn to think your way through a gunfight? Situational awareness and critical thinking skills are known to diminish when endorphins like epinephrine enter the blood stream. This target is instrumental in teaching crucial thinking skills while pressing the trigger.

This target was developed at the direction of Johnny Primo,  a decorated army Special Forces soldier. Johnny provides a variety of tactical training and his company is called, Courses of Action (COA). 

 


6. Target QUADS Description:

Frogman Tactical Red Dot Sight-in

This target is the work-horse used for all handgun, rifle and precision rifle training. Also, ideally suited for sighting in red-dot optics. Shooting drills for this particular target are listed in the Frog Blog.

Each target shape is exactly 1/2 the size of a full-size IPSC target (18X30 inches). The FOUR targets depicted are 9 inches across and 15 inches long. The center zone in the middle of the target is 3 inches across.

  • The gray contrasting background makes this ideally well suited for night vision and laser devices.
  • Paper, eliminates the refraction hazard associated with using lasers on steel.
