Combat - for our purposes "combat" will be defined as an encounter with another person or persons who threaten your life or the lives of others you choose to protect.  

Basic description: HVT rifle courses mimic the Special Operations method for creating a gun-fighter. During this course shooters will increase proficiency in making rapid accurate shots from a number of essential rifle positions related to combat situations.

  What is your go-to rifle position when clearing a corner? What position is best for running with a rifle? How do you hold the rifle when standing for extended periods of time in high-threat environment? How fast can you clear the most common malfunctions? How fast do you reload and where is that spare magazine coming from?

*The big-picture direction for this training is that of Special Operations soldier or gov agency contractor. Getting started we will confirm sight-in, not more than 30 rounds are devoted to this. Have your rifle adjusted prior to arrival.

3  Clearing malfunctions

4  Rifle grip, stance and trigger press. 

5  Rifle safe handling and employment techniques

6 *See where to shoot. How to effectively place rounds on the human anatomy.


Intro to AR15 Gear List:

   300 rounds of ammunition

   3 magazines minimum (30 round capacity)

   Gun oil

• Gloves (optional and recommended)

   Knee pads (optional and recommended)

   Eye protection 

   Hearing protection

   Water (bring more than you think you’ll need)

   Weather appropriate clothing

   Sunscreen or rain gear (weather dependent)

   Sling for the rifle (single point or dual point) 

 

*This is a no-cost course but you do need to reserve your slot. 

(Enter off of Hiwassee Rd) Enter through the gate and you will immediately see the Cowboy Action town. Stay left and follow the road approximately 1/4 mile. There are two ranges 50x100 yds adjacent to each other, we'll be on one of those two ranges.
